The EUDR Overview in Qarma helps you understand how products become subject to the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and how due diligence is managed inside the Product Compliance module.
This guide explains when an EUDR requirement is triggered, what it looks like in Qarma, and how you can follow the process through to submission.

When an EUDR requirement is triggered

An EUDR requirement is automatically triggered when a product meets the following conditions in Qarma:

  • Country of activity – the country where the product will be placed on the EU market.
  • Country of entry – where the product first enters EU territory.
  • EUDR activity – identifies whether the product is Import, Trade, Not in scope, or another defined category.
  • HS Code – the Combined Nomenclature (CN) code assigned to the product, as listed in Annex I of the EUDR.

Once these criteria are met, Qarma automatically links the product to the relevant EUDR requirement.
This typically happens during data import but can also be set up manually.

Viewing the EUDR requirement

When a product has EUDR relevance, you’ll see a section such as EUDR Import – Wood under the product’s Orders.
Here, Qarma displays the specific documentation required — in this case, a Due Diligence Statement for the EU Information System.

The due diligence process

Click the EUDR requirement to open the Due Diligence Statement overview.
This view shows each part of the due diligence process:

  • Products in scope – the products covered by this submission.
  • Products net weight – product weight data (if provided).
  • Materials in scope – required material documentation.
  • Plots of land / Other documents – additional information that may be needed.

Each element must be completed before submitting the statement to the EU TRACES system.

Adding and managing materials

When an EUDR requirement is triggered, the related Material Requirements section appears.
This is where materials linked to the product must be declared for EUDR compliance.

You can:

  • Click + Add material to assign existing supply chains, or
  • Click + New material to create a new material supply chain.

Once materials are added, they appear under the product, each with its own documentation requirements (e.g. FSC certificate, proof of supply chain, plot of harvesting area). For further information on this matter, please view our guide: “EUDR Material Supply Chains” here on Freshdesk.

Submitting the Due Diligence Statement

When all materials and documents have been uploaded, Qarma prepares the Due Diligence Statement (DDS) for submission.
If your integration between Qarma and the EU Information System (TRACES) is active, the due diligence statement can be submitted by clicking: “Submit to EU Information System” ( For setup details EU Information System (TRACES)see the guide: “EUDR API Key Setup”.):

Once successfully submitted, the DDS will display a Reference number and Verification number, confirming that the statement is available in the EU Information System.

That’s it!

You’ve now seen how Qarma identifies EUDR-relevant products, collects the required information, and supports direct submission to the EU Information System.
